@Muhammad Muddassir Malik

Sir the QT forum you mention above very useful and active. I got useful answers for it. You can see these answers at this link (http://developer.qt.nokia.com/forums/viewthread/2868). I spend this week on this forum and other resources. Moral of the store is “There is no function for Joystick in QT”no

We have two optionspc.gif

1:- Use SDL for our Haptic Interface.

2:- Study how these haptic devices connect to our Machine and use its drivers to get data from these devices.

Sir guide us which option is best.

This was the reply from the SOFA users mailing list from one of the developers of SOFA.
Hi,

No, I'm afraid there is not in the public version...
Nonetheless, you can find a Joystick Event in the SOFA core that you can create and propagate in the SOFA scene graph (from an "home-made" Joystick driver for example...) and that will be catched by SOFA components. You can have a look in SOFA Mouse Event generation in the QT interface as an example.

It mean that we should chose second option. But I have no experience of work on device drivers. But if I once learn how to use device drivers then it will be very useful. We will able to create interface of any device to SOFA.
